Technician II plays a critical role in supporting our
Nondestructive Testing (NDT) team by conducting shear wave
ultrasonic inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards
and client specifications. This position is responsible for
performing NDT inspections with minimal supervision, accurately
interpreting results, and maintaining documentation, ensuring the
integrity and safety of materials and structures for our clients.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills,
attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in diverse
field environments, and contribute to our mission of delivering
reliable, high-quality testing and inspection services. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations or workable

perform essential functions. Independently perform non-destructive
testing (NDT) using at least one Level II certified method (UT, MT,
PT, RT, VT). Interpret and evaluate test resultsin accordance
withapplicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Prepareaccuratereports detailing testing outcomes, findings, and
recommendations. Assistin training and mentoring NDT Technician 1
personnel on proper testing procedures and safety protocols.
Perform calibrations on NDT equipment tomaintainaccuracy and
compliance. Work directly with engineers, project managers, and
clients to communicate findings and recommendations. Ensure all
inspectionscomply withASNT, ASTM, API, AWS, or other industry
standards asrequired. Maintain and organize testing documentation,
records, and reports. Adhere to and enforce safety standards, PPE
usage, and site-specific safety requirements. Assistin
troubleshooting complex indications and technical challenges in
testing processes. Supervisory Responsibility Provides mentorship
and guidance to NDT Technician 1 personnel. No direct supervisory
responsibilities. Qualifications and Education Requirements High
school diploma or GED required. Level II certification in at least
one NDT method (UT, MT, PT, RT, or VT). Minimum of 2 years of
experience performing NDT inspections. Strong knowledge of NDT
techniques, codes, and industry standards (ASNT, ASTM, API, AWS,
etc.). Ability to obtain additional certifications as required.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for interpreting
complex test results. Maintain a valid driver’s license and
acceptable driving record. Must successfully pass an FBI
fingerprint-based background check. Preferred Skills IRRSP or state
equivalent certifications preferred. Associate degree or vocational
training in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), engineering technology,
or a related field preferred. Proficiency in advanced NDT equipment
and software. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work
independently. Effective written and verbal communication skills
for reporting and client interactions. Pay Transparency Base
compensation is expected to be in the range of $25.00 - $33.00 per
hour based on skill set and experience. AET offers a comprehensive

This job operates in a combination of field and office settings,
with frequent travel to project sites. Work is performed in various
environments, including confined spaces, elevated heights,
construction sites, industrial facilities, and laboratory settings.
This role may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, high
noise levels, and potentially hazardous materials, including
radioactive substances and x-ray devices. Standard office equipment
such as computers, phones, and photocopiers is also routinely used.

required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to
stand; walk; use hands or finger, handle or feel; and reach with

frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift
and/or move up to 50-100 pounds. The employee will occasionally
push or pull equipment weighing up to 200 pounds. The employee is
required to frequently work outside. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
