Description
The qualified individual will be responsible for farm direct
fertilizer sales, strategy, and growth of their territory. This
person will have account ownership of customers and prospects along
with, primarily inside sales efforts for their territory. Focusing
primarily on relationships with growers and serving their
operational needs. This person will assist strategy development
with business counterpart for assets and future growth necessary to
achieve strategic goals for ADM.
This person will work with the team to ensure transportation,
distribution, and sales execution in the territory of
responsibility and act as a team player.
This person will be responsible for customer account maintenance,
including A/R, contract maintenance, and logistics for ADM
contracts.Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in business or
agriculture, or equivalent experience, supplemented with at least
three to five years inside/outside sales experience, Ag sector
preferred. Demonstrate capacity to manage risk and an understanding
of how to conduct professional sales calls with customers and
prospects.
Basic understanding of commodity trading, fertilizer markets,
production, agriculture, and the application of those to the
farmerCommitment to be a positive & professional team leaderAbility
to function effectively, both independently and in group
settingsStrong abilities, initiative, and problem-solving skills
necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentEffective oral
and written communication skills, as well as the ability to
interface with various levels within ADMProficient in using
Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Teams, and
PowerPointProficient in the use and application of mobile
technology and ADM-sanctioned social mediaStrong organizational and
time-management skillsEarly adopter of new technology and ability
to lead and influence other target users ResponsibilitiesGrow sales
from individual efforts as well as leveraging the ADM resources and
personnel availableProvide leadership and education on fertilizer
markets to ADM stakeholders
Responsible for proper customer account maintenance, including A/R,
and logistics for ADM contracts and fertilizer position
management60% travel in the territory of responsibilityStrong
self-motivationCollect and record information on accounts and
support customers to make ADM their first choice for fertilizer
supplyIntegrate with grain and regenerations teams to service
customers in go-to-market strategy fullyMust be engaged with
