Job Description Job Description CVOR Surgical Technologist (Travel) Location: Minneapolis, MN Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: 5x8s (Day & Mid Shifts) Shift Options: 06:45 AM – 03:15 PM 09:30 AM – 06:00 PM 02:45 PM – 11:15 PM Hours: 40 hours/week (Guaranteed) Compensation Weekly Pay: $1,687.50 – $1,875.00 Paid weekly 8-hour non-billable orientation Job Description We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to support a high-acuity Cardiovascular Operating Room team in Minneapolis, MN. This role involves assisting with complex cardiac and vascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. The Surgical Technologist will collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, perfusionists, and other OR staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care for patients undergoing advanced cardiovascular procedures. Job Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a sterile field for cardiovascular surgical procedures Anticipate surgeon needs and efficiently pass instruments Scrub for complex cardiac and vascular surgeries, including open and endovascular cases Ensure proper handling and availability of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment Assist with patient positioning and surgical draping Maintain infection control, safety, and regulatory standards Collaborate with the OR team to support optimal patient outcomes Participate in on-call rotation as required Required Case Experience Cardiac Surgery: CABG (on-pump and off-pump) Valve procedures (AVR, MVRR, TVRR) Aortic aneurysm and dissection repair LVAD implantation Total artificial heart Heart transplant TAVR and other transcatheter valve procedures Minimally invasive valve replacement Vascular Surgery: AAA (open and endovascular) TEVAR and EVAR Carotid endarterectomy Femoral-popliteal bypass Peripheral vascular bypass ECMO decannulation and repositioning Qualifications Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required NBSTSA (CST) or NCCT certification required BLS (AHA) required Experience with ECMO and VAD preferred First-time travelers accepted On-call requirements include: Up to 2 weekends per month Up to 2 weekdays per week Holiday call as needed Facility Overview Large, high-volume acute care hospital Multiple operating rooms including standard, hybrid, and procedural vascular suites Charting system: Epic Scrub attire provided by the facility For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
