A Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient
care, coordinating treatment plans, educating patients and
families, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure
high-quality medical care. The RN promotes patient health, prevents
illness, and supports recovery in clinical, hospital, or community
settings. Key Responsibilities Assess, monitor, and document
patient conditions Develop and implement individualized nursing
care plans Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Operate and monitor medical equipment Assist physicians and other
healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures Educate
patients and families on health conditions, medications, and
post-treatment care Maintain accurate medical records and reports
Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care when
necessary Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies,
and safety standards Supervise and support Licensed Practical
Nurses (LPNs), nursing assistants, or other support staff when
applicable Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Active Registered Nurse
(RN) license in the state of practice Current Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
may be required depending on department) Clinical experience
preferred (specific years may vary by facility) Knowledge of
nursing best practices and healthcare regulations Proficiency in
electronic medical record (EMR) systems Skills & Competencies
