This role involves working in various clinical settings to enhance the lives of patients through expert care and rehabilitative treatments. You will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of individuals whose ability to perform daily life activities is compromised by physical injury, illness, or age. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a desire to contribute to their community's health and wellness. Evaluate patients' condition and develop appropriate therapy treatment plans Use a variety of exercises and equipment to relieve patients' pain and improve their mobility Assess and record patients’ activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and reporting to physicians and healthcare providers Educate patients and families about what to expect from the recovery process and how best to cope with challenges Consult with rehabilitation team to select activity programs and coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in patient evaluation and treatment planning Ability to operate standard occupational therapy equipment Excellent problem-solving skills Knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety standards Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid state Occupational Therapy license Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) CPR and First Aid certification
