Commercial Portfolio Manager in Eden Prairie, MN. The Category &
Commercial Portfolio Manager leads the strategy and commercial
growth of Agropur’s BioNutrients portfolio. The role identifies
high?value market opportunities, drives customer engagement, and
guides portfolio and pricing decisions to strengthen Agropur’s
position in key nutrition segments. Working closely with Sales,
Innovation, and Marketing, this leader ensures strong alignment
between market needs, product development, and commercial

Salary range 006: $105,200 - $131,500 (Salary will be determined
based on skills, education, training & experience related to the
position). What’s involved in this role : 1. Category Strategy &
Growth Leadership Own and lead the BioNutrients category strategy
across Lactoferrin, Alpha-lactalbumin, IGG, GMP, WPHs and emerging
bioactive ingredients. Define priority markets, applications, and
customer segments based on value creation, capabilities, and
economics. Build and maintain the BioNutrients portfolio roadmap,
including SKU strategy, lifecycle management and optimization.
Ensure category strategy aligns with Ingredient Division OGSM and
long?term commercial priorities. 2. Commercial Leadership &
Business Development Leverage industry relationships to identify
strategic customers and accelerate market penetration. Act as a
front-line commercial leader: shape opportunities early, influence
specifications, drive adoption. Expand demand and customer base to
oversell available capacity, enabling strategic allocation and
margin optimization. Partner with Sales to prioritize and close
high?value deals. Lead commercial discoveries in new or emerging
application areas and translate needs into solutions with
Innovation and Marketing. Develop customer-facing materials,
pricing logic, and negotiation frameworks. Represent Agropur at
customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events. 3. Portfolio
Ownership & Optimization Serve as the internal owner of the
BioNutrients portfolio, overseeing segmentation, SKU strategy,
performance, and lifecycle decisions. Partner with Allotment
Strategy to determine allocation for high?value accounts. Conduct
ongoing portfolio reviews to ensure alignment with market demand
and strategic priorities. 4. Commercial Playbook & Go-to-Market
Strategy Build and maintain the BioNutrients Commercial Playbook:
segmentation, customer selection, pricing principles, competitive
positioning, channel strategy, and sales tools. Identify priority
applications and customer archetypes. Develop go?to?market
strategies for new and existing ingredients across infant, medical,
immune health, wellness, and performance nutrition. Equip Sales and
Marketing with clear positioning and differentiation guidance. 5.
Innovation Alignment & Stage-Gate Support Partner with the Director
of Innovation to align pipeline priorities with market needs and
customer opportunities. Translate commercial requirements into
clear R&D targets (claims, specs, performance). Support
PRIME/Stage?Gate to ensure new products are market?driven,
scalable, and commercially ready. 6. Market Insights & Competitive
Intelligence Monitor trends, customer needs, and competitive
dynamics using internal and external data tools. Transform insights
into recommendations for pricing, portfolio evolution, market
selection, and customer targeting. Build compelling category
narratives for customers and senior leadership. 7. Pricing, Margin
& Portfolio Economics Define pricing corridors and value?based
pricing frameworks with Commercial Strategy, Finance, and Sales.
Monitor margin contribution, mix, ROI, and portfolio performance.
Recommend pricing actions and portfolio adjustments to maximize
value creation. 8. Business Communication & Leadership Support
Prepare category strategies, performance updates, and portfolio
reviews for senior leadership. Support OGSM tracking and
category?level execution. Clearly communicate direction,
priorities, and progress across Innovation, Allotment, Sales,
Marketing, S&OP, Operations, and Finance. Act as the primary
commercial voice for the BioNutrients category. Additional
Responsibilities Adhere to safety protocols and GMP requirements.
Support safety policies and report hazards as necessary. Perform
additional duties as assigned. Strategic Impact Strengthens
Agropur’s premium position in high?value nutrition markets. Builds
a strategic customer base that oversells capacity. Accelerates
commercialization of key bioactive ingredients (Lactoferrin,
Alpha90, IGG, GMP). Improves portfolio ROI, mix, and margin
quality. Establishes scalable commercial systems and strong
cross?functional collaboration. Key KPIs Category revenue & margin

engagement & conversion What you need to join our team: Education
Bachelor’s Degree in business, Marketing, Strategy, Finance, or a
related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. Equivalent
combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience 7 years commercial strategy, category management,
business development, or ingredient sales experience. Strong
network within infant, medical, wellness, immune health, or
specialty nutrition sectors preferred. Experience with bioactive,
whey, or milk protein ingredients strongly preferred. Ability to
translate technical and scientific insights into commercial
strategy. Skills Strong business development and commercial
leadership capability. Ability to build credibility and open doors
with strategic customers. Deep understanding of premium nutrition
ingredient markets. Pricing, margin management, and value?based
selling. Ability to translate customer needs into innovation
priorities. Excellent commercial storytelling and communication.
Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills. Project
management experience (PRIME, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, etc.).
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook. Ability to thrive
in fast?paced, dynamic environments and manage multiple priorities.
